With their debut album 'The Language of Injury' only a matter of days away from release, Ithaca have had devastating new single 'Impulse Crush' premiered on Kerrang! The song features razor edge savagery from Ithaca, with riffs aplenty, and contains one of the best breakdowns in recorded history. With a colourful and chaotic video to go with it, 'Impulse Crush' will put a spring in your spin kick.
Yes, ok, it’s January 4th 2019, but we needed a few days to gather our thoughts (and recover!) for this post.
2018 was quite clearly for both ourselves and anyone who follows Holy Roar closely pretty wild and amazing. Including digital releases, but not including singles from albums, we put out 20 (TWENTY!) releases - 14 new albums, 2 album reissues, 2 EPs and 2 stand alone singles. These were as follows -
Manchester post-rock septet Talons are currently touring up and down the UK and Ireland alongside Icelandic group Sólstafir, in support of their excellent third album 'We All Know' that was released back in July.
These are a run of shows that will tie off a superb year for Talons neatly in a bow, and therefore they should not be missed! The remaining dates are:
19/12 - Deaf Institute, Manchester 20/12 - Classic Grand, Glasgow 21/12 - The Limelight 2, Belfast 22/12 - Voodoo Lounge, Dublin
Today, Holy Roar is proud to unleash the unbridled power of Burning Vow's self-titled EP upon the world. Featuring members from UK Underground bands past and present, Burning Vow have produced a veritable concoction of alt-rock sheen and slabs of tectonic riffing. The experience bought to the table from the various members shines through on this release, with the group moving effortlessly through the contrasting sections of each finely crafted song.
This debut offering is a masterful example of brooding and outward-looking doom metal - step forth into a foreboding expanse with Burning Vow at the helm.
Holy Roar and A.A. Williams are happy to present new single 'Cold' from her self-titled debut EP due out January 25th on LP/CD. Steeped in melancholy and wrapped within a Gothic fever dream, 'Cold' is a swooning crescendo that continuously builds and builds to a mesmerising conclusion.
Introducing Burning Vow and their self titled debut. Zero pretence and zero mercy. Composed of ex and current members of PARISO, Employed To Serve, Harrowed and Group Of Man, the band's 5 songs of crushing mercurial wizard stoner doom are a masterful example of brooding and outward-looking doom metal.

300 x vinyl LP - 100 x eco vinyl - 200 x eco w/ black splatter (Holy Roar subscribers only)
At long last, Holy Roar Records are over the moon to reveal 'Control' the lead single from singer/songwriter and recent signee A.A. Williams' eponymous debut EP.
Evoking influence from ‘Moon Pix’-era Cat Power and contemporaries such as Emma Ruth Rundle, A.A.Williams flexes her exemplary songwriting muscles with a swathe of anthemic and passionate melodies; leaving the listener to doused in sonic density and awe.
Cat's out the bag! We are hugely honoured here at Holy Roar to have been given the chance to curate a line up for the prestigious Roadburn Festival 2019. A festival we hold a great admiration for over the years, which continues to inspire us and have it's finger firmly on the pulse of meaningful and world-class music .
Holy Roar Records and Roadburn festival are proud to present:
As most of you will know, we here at Holy Roar pride ourselves on the unconventional, emotionally challenging and thought provoking... so with that in mind, we are very pleased to welcome A.A.Williams to our roster!
There are many exciting things behind the HR curtain at present time, all will become clear in the next few weeks.
A short message from the artist herself, A.A.Williams;
“I’m delighted to have signed with Holy Roar and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on together. It will be an honour to join a roster of such a high calibre who share the passion of pushing boundaries and creating music that makes you feel.”
